The Suckerme Greenback Trout Lure is a 7 gram compact metal spoon lure designed for precision casting in New Zealand’s freshwater environments. At just 5 cm long, this lure delivers a subtle flutter on retrieve and drop, imitating the natural movement of small baitfish. Its green top, golden body, and orange underside provide excellent visibility without spooking wary fish in shallow or calm water.

This version is ideal for light spinning setups and finesse fishing techniques. It comes pre-rigged with a single barbed size 4# hook (28.4 mm long x 7.5 mm gape) and also includes an optional feathered treble hook for anglers fishing coastal flats or estuary waters.

Hook Use Advisory for New Zealand

Caution: Many New Zealand trout fisheries have restrictions on treble hooks, particularly in rivers and fly-only zones. Always check the regulations for your fishing location before using treble hooks.

  • Use the single barbed hook in lakes, rivers, and trout-regulated areas.
  • The included feathered treble hook is suitable for kahawai, perch, and other coastal or estuarine species.
