How to Install your Saddle onto this Carbon Seatpost
Step 1: Loosen the Clamp Bolts
Use a hex key to loosen the bolts on the seatpost clamp. Do not remove them completely; just loosen them enough to release the top clamp.
Step 2: Remove the Upper Clamp Piece
Carefully lift the upper clamp piece off the seatpost. This will allow space to position the saddle rails.
Step 3: Prepare the Saddle Rails
Align the saddle rails with the lower clamp section on the seatpost. Ensure that the rails sit securely in the designated grooves.
Step 4: Position the Upper Clamp Piece
Place the upper clamp piece back over the saddle rails. Make sure the rails are evenly positioned before proceeding.
Step 5: Insert and Lightly Tighten the Bolts
Reinsert the bolts and tighten them slightly with a hex key. Do not fully tighten yet; you may need to adjust the saddle angle.
Step 6: Adjust and Secure the Saddle
Adjust the saddle position to your preferred angle. Once positioned correctly, tighten the bolts evenly to the recommended torque setting (≤ 5.1 NM). Ensure both sides are tightened evenly to prevent damage.
Important Notes
To prevent damage, avoid over-tightening bolts. The maximum recommended torque is 5.1 NM.
Included with this Carbon Seatpost is an Aluminum mountain head for attaching your bikes seat. This mounting kit will fit most bike seats.
- Check that the saddle is aligned properly before fully tightening.
- Do not overtighten the bolts to avoid damaging the carbon fibre seatpost.
